Happy Easter

We are getting ready for Easter here at playgroup. Tuesday is egg painting day which we are really looking forward to but we thought we'd warm-up with paper and watercolors. The girls glued and painted while I read a cute pop-up book about a hatching chick.

Saint Patrick's Day!

We completed two projects for St. Patrick's Day. First, we made a visor using pre-made cutouts and some glitter stickers. The other project was a pot of gold wind sock. We made those with strips of tissue paper streamers, and black and gold construction paper. At the last minute one of the moms showed off her paper cutting skills and made shamrocks for everyone. I also left some Celtic shamrock designs on the table for the girls to color when they came into the room. Sometimes they like to head straight to the table and I like to have a little something waiting for them.

Our visors! We finished them a class ahead of time so they would be dry for our party.

Rainbow streamers and gold coins glued.

The finished product.

Love and Hockey

Pasting and Painting!
Today was sunny and warm and a nice change from the current weather we've been having, and it was also Valentine's Day. We decided to make our valentines and head straight outside. On our way to the playground we passed by Mrs. E, who was leading a class back from gym and happened to be carrying some hockey sticks. I thought the girls might enjoy playing with them, and I was right! They had so much fun running around and passing the ball (our puck) back and forth. Who knows, Maybe there is a future VA hockey team in the making!

Great co-ordination ladies!
