Les Artistes!

Today we were brave and worked with paint! The girls were wonderful and sat quietly working away on their masterpieces. I used painter's tape to "draw"a star on paper and the girls painted over it. When the paint is dry we will pull the tape off leaving the start shape in white.

Leaf Wreath!

Before going outside today to play hide and seek (what fun!), we made some beautiful fall wreaths to decorate our doors for the season. Some recycled cardboard, white glue, and all the pretty leaves we could find were our supplies.

A great article on the benefits of outdoor play. Our playgroup spends time each session letting the toddlers explore the outdoors. We are so fortunate to have access to the beautiful grounds of Visitation Academy!

Today was a beautiful day to be outside so we took the opportunity to go on a little nature walk. We collected interesting things we saw, including some pine cones, some leaves, twigs, and even some wild flowers. We practiced sharing our collecting basket and worked on taking turns carrying it! We all came inside with smiling rosy-cheeked faces! We are going to use some of our finds in our Tuesday craft.

Scarves for a Windy Day

Today we took some nice long pieces of fleece and small felt cutouts and turned them into beautiful scarves. They are all glued and ready to wear for our outdoor play on Thursday morning.

Butterfly Wands

After a busy morning of playing outside with hula hoops and a parachute, we came inside to get messy with some glitter and glue. The girls worked on creating butterfly wands with different objects they chose and glued themselves. The result was fantastique!
